The film “Fac & Spera” is an extraordinary encounter between a world-renowned vineyard and a unique personality, Michel Chapoutier. As it is impossible to address the scarcity of the former one without getting closer to the privacy of the latter one, the film – due out October 19th on screen – reveals a man of many facets. First and foremost, the winemaker who travels his vineyards of Hermitage, Roussillon, Alsace and Australia. But also the man at the head of the largest biodynamic vineyard in the world, the passionate producer of 6 million bottles, the insatiable «Terroir photographer» with the greatest number of 100 points from Robert Parker, the man receiving the Legion d’Honneur…

A film that also talks about food because, even if Michel Chapoutier notes that “We have more and more winemakers who make wine but who are not food lovers”, there remains a family of wine lovers in Tain l’Hermitage who has maintained the passion for good food and to whom Michel pays tribute: “Marius, my great grandfather, a mischievous nature, a greedy belly, here’s a guy who knew how to live…”
